These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Edify & Empower Tuition website and services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Process

• All bookings must be confirmed through our official booking system or direct communication
• A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of payment or signed agreement
• We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion

3.2 Payment Terms

• Payment is required in advance for all services unless otherwise agreed in writing
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ notice
• Late payment may result in suspension of services
• All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable

3.3 Refund Policy

• Discovery Calls: Non-refundable but redeemable against future sessions
• Trial Lessons: Non-refundable once delivered
• Session Packages: Refunds available for unused sessions with 7 days’ notice
• Consultancy Services: Refunds considered on a case-by-case basis
• Work Experience Programme: Refunds subject to programme-specific terms

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Student Cancellations

• 24+ hours notice: Full credit for future use
• Less than 24 hours: 50% charge applies
• No-show: Full session charge applies
• Emergency circumstances: Considered case-by-case

4.2 Edify & Empower Cancellations

• We will provide at least 24 hours’ notice where possible
• Alternative arrangements or full credit will be offered
• No liability for costs incurred due to our cancellations

5. Conduct and Expectations

5.1 Student Conduct

• Students must arrive prepared and on time
• Respectful behaviour towards tutors and staff is required
• Academic integrity must be maintained
• Technology requirements must be met for online sessions

5.2 Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about student needs
• Ensure student availability for scheduled sessions
• Communicate any concerns promptly
• Maintain payment obligations

6. Safeguarding and Child Protection

• All tutors are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding
• We follow UK safeguarding guidelines and legislation
• Any safeguarding concerns will be reported to appropriate authorities
• Parents/guardians will be informed of any significant concerns about their child

7. Intellectual Property

• All materials provided by Edify & Empower Tuition remain our intellectual property
• Students may use materials for personal educational purposes only
• Reproduction or distribution of materials is prohibited without written consent
• Student work and progress remain confidential to the student and family

8. Data Protection and Privacy

• We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy
• Student progress and personal information is kept confidential
• Data is only shared with relevant parties as outlined in our Privacy Policy
• You have rights regarding your personal data as detailed in our Privacy Policy

9. Online Services

9.1 Technical Requirements

• Stable internet connection required
• Compatible device with camera and microphone
• Appropriate software as specified by Edify & Empower Tuition

9.2 Recording Policy

• Sessions may be recorded for educational purposes with consent
• Recordings remain property of Edify & Empower Tuition
• Access to recordings provided to students/families as agreed

10. International Services

10.1 Guardianship Services

• Subject to additional terms and conditions
• Governed by UK guardianship regulations
• 24/7 emergency contact provided during term time

10.2 Visa and Immigration

• We provide educational guidance only
• Students responsible for visa compliance
• Immigration advice should be sought from qualified advisors

11. Limitation of Liability

• Our liability is limited to the value of services provided
• We are not liable for examination results or school admission outcomes
• We do not guarantee specific academic achievements
• Our services are supplementary to formal education
• Force majeure events exclude our liability

12. Complaints Procedure

1. Informal Resolution: Contact your tutor or hello@edifyempowertutoring.co.uk
2. Formal Complaint: Written complaint to management
3. External Resolution: Referral to relevant professional bodies if required

13. Termination

13.1 By Student/Family

• Services may be terminated with written notice
• Unused session credits valid for 12 months
• Final session must be taken within notice period

13.2 By Edify & Empower Tuition

• We may terminate services for breach of terms
• Persistent non-payment or inappropriate conduct
• Refunds considered based on circumstances

14. General Terms

14.1 Modifications

• Terms may be updated with reasonable notice
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of new terms

14.2 Governing Law

• These terms are governed by English law
• UK courts have exclusive jurisdiction

14.3 Severability

• Invalid clauses do not affect remaining terms
• Terms interpreted to maximum extent possible
